She is a master artist in Sikki weaving and mastered this ancient art form from her grandmother when she was a child. She hails from the Madhubani district and has a keen interest in Sikki art, which she has presented at the Ministry of Textiles exhibition. In 2010 and 2011, she received governmental recognition as a Sikki artist. As a skilled Sikki designer, she now travels around the country as a trainer for the Ministry of Textiles, teaching the art form to a wide range of individuals.
