About the Workshop +

This workshop is now over, you can buy recording.

This workshop was done in two classes of two hours each and was conducted over zoom - adult or children above 12 years can join

This workshop is curated in collaboration with Trove Craft India, Trove is a modest design studio based in Hyderabad, India that aims to create unique, elegant gifting concepts with an ethnic flavor. Their objective is to revive hand painted art forms by pairing them with unusual canvases to make them relevant for the fast-changing consumer market.

In this workshop we will be creating a Gopashtami special Pichwai frame with handcrafted and pre-made figure of Shrinath ji sent to us by trove which you will receive in your art kit.

On the base of the round frame we will paint and draw the famous traditional motif of Pichwai painting known as kalam talai with traditionally used stone colors made by the artist himself. Jayesh ji will guide you through the entire process with step-by-step instructions to make you familiar with the artform.

Make yourself a beautiful décor piece which can be used in your temple or house while remembering the holy name of Krishna, make this your way of expressing love and devotion.

About the artist: Jayesh Sharma ji, who has been a Pichwai artist for more than 38 years and his family has been practicing this art for 400 years will guide you with the process and techniques during the workshop.
