This performative art is used for leather puppetry, which is popular in the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh. Over time, this performative art also took its place in painting and decorative art.

The painting depicts the pair of elephants facing each other and resonates with prosperity and good luck.The artist has sketched the contours of the elephants precisely; without using any colour palette, he rendered their anatomy precisely and added heavy accessories and a cloth placed on their backs. The facial features include lotus-shaped eyes with rhythmic curving, a trunk with one tusk shown in the picture frame, and huge ears.

Between them, a tree is blooming, spreading its branches extensively, and flowers are blossoming; it resonates with prosperity. The entire picture frame is composed of miniature flowers and other motif details. The painting is shown with 2D perspective and in a stylised manner. The composition is set against the red coloured backdrop.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1194/1498/files/1._A_Pair_of_Elephants_in_Tholu_Bommalata_by_Sindhe_Siva.jpg?v=1791779787
