This performative art is used for leather puppetry, which is popular in the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh. Over time, this performative art also took its place in painting and decorative art.

Lord Hanuman is depicted with a side profile and a frontal body pose. The legs are rendered in such a way that he is in motion, and his playful character is delineated. In his left hand, he is holding the gada (mace), symbolising power and strength. His right hand is lifted high and gesturing the abhaya mudra; the mudra denotes protection and boon to his devotees.

The deity's facial features are accentuated by almond-shaped eyes with thin double eyebrows and a broad nose with a snout-like mouth. His forehead is adorned with a tilak, and his head is adorned with a tiered conical crown, denoting his sovereign status, alongside a rendition of earrings, necklaces, armlets, wristbands, a girdle, and anklets. His upper body is bare, while his lower body is covered with a dhoti up to his knees.
