This performative art is used for leather puppetry, which is popular in the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh. Over time, this performative art also took its place in painting and decorative art.

Here, Lord Ganesha is dancing, filling the composition with full animation. As a four-armed deity, his frontal arms are in the gesture of Nataraja’s iconic pose; his left hand is in abhaya mudra, giving protection, while his right hand is in abhaya mudra, giving a boon. His upper left hand holds a Parashu (battle axe), symbolising the destruction of illusion and evil spirits. His upper right hands has a pasha (noose) to restrain worldly attachments.

The deity's expression is marked by almond-shaped eyes, a gracefully curving trunk lifting upwards, and a tusk. He is adorned with a tiered conical crown, alongside intricately carved necklaces, armlets, and anklets. His forehead is adorned with a Shaivite tilak, resembling the presence of Shiva. This iconic representation of Ganesha is divine.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1194/1498/files/1._Nritya_Ganesha_in_Tholu_Bommalata_by_Sindhe_Siva.jpg?v=1791781508
