These deptict themes from mythological stories, oral narratives and folk culture.

Here, the painting is composed of three individual canvases of the same size, yet depicts a single large depiction of a lotus pond. This artwork beautifully captures the abundance and freshness of a lotus pond, where the artist has created a harmonious composition through the rhythmic arrangement of flowers, buds, leaves, and slender stems. The lotuses are painted in different tones such as orange, purple, red, and magenta. The flowers have been rendered in a detailed manner, with fine outlines defining the individual petals, giving them a sense of freshness and delicacy. The artist has represented the lotus in different stages of growth, ranging from closed buds and partially opened flowers to fully blossomed lotuses, bringing a sense of movement and natural progression to the composition. Along with the flowers, its leaves are also adorning the canvas, blooming like a fan in a full circle. Painted in shades of green with a tinge of yellow representing its veins and folded forms. Rather than presenting the pond in a realistic manner, the artist has transformed the natural setting into a stylised rendering of water waves, suggesting a sense of animation and a 3D effect. The waves are coloured in teal and Prussian blue.

The entire composition is set against a warm yellow background with a highlight of orange, which provides a striking contrast to the lotus blossoms.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1194/1498/files/1._The_Lotus_Pond_in_Kerala_Mural_by_Adarsh.png?v=1792057312
