This performative art is used for leather puppetry, which is popular in the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh. Over time, this performative art also took its place in painting and decorative art.

At the centre of the composition is head of Venkateswara; his form reflects positive energy and his being to protect his people. He is dark-complexioned with half-closed eyes, a broad nose and fuller lips. His forehead is marked with the impression of Vaishnava tilak and a diamond-like pattern on his chin. His head is adorned with a conical-shaped crown, with highly intricate details and stones embedded. The sides of his face are embellished with ornaments like layers of earrings in three, while his neck is covered with broad garlands filled with petals and a blooming flower.

Two of his signature attributes, a sudarshana chakra (the disc) representing righteousness; a sankha (conch shell), which signifies the dispelling of negative energies, are depicted.

The composition of the lord is framed under an arch-shaped motif pattern, coloured alternatively in green and red, framing him as a significant being. Inside the arch, the flowers are showering around his persona, justifying his existence with lordship. Further, the painting is bordered with a knot-like pattern, coloured in red.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1194/1498/files/1._Venketeshwara-_in_Tholu_Bommalata_by_Sindhe_Siva.jpg?v=1791780634
