Dilip Chittara hand paints “Bahuchara Mata” one of the many forms of Durga, in this Mata ni Pachedi painting. She is the hindu Goddess of chastity and fertility, and is considered the patroness of the transgender community. The four armed Goddess is seen holding a sword and a trident while seated on a rooster, which is a symbol of innocence. According to some theories, Bahuchara is one of the Goddesses in Sri Chakra, which means that Bahuchara is the goddess that awakens the kundalini which eventually leads one to liberation or moksha.
