About the Artwork +

Dhirendra Kumar portrays a harmonious natural scene in which two women, adorned in vibrant traditional attire, gracefully carry pots upon their heads, showcasing their strength and cultural heritage. Their poised postures and colourful garments reflect the rich traditions of the Mithila culture. In the background, a quaint village emerges with its earthen huts and rustic charm. The artist meticulously weaves the image of the village using Sikki grass, capturing its essence with intricate detail and earthy tones. This artwork serves as a tribute to the cultural heritage and community spirit found in rural settings.
