Moatsu festival is celebrated by the Ao Naga tribe of Nagaland. Celebrated in the first week of May, it symbolises the completion of the sowing season and a revelry of the bond that the people share. Apart from performing various cultural rituals, it is also a time for the tribe to spend time doing recreational activities such as performing their cultural dance accompanied by energetic songs. With this, it is also a place to discover traditional Naga arts and crafts such as Naga shawls, bamboo mugs, traditional silk dresses (mekehla) and cane carpets.
