About the Artwork +

Hemaltha B, through her exquisite artistry, portrays the divine union of Lord Krishna, Satyabhama, and Rukmini in a breathtaking tapestry of love, devotion, and timeless grace. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this masterpiece transports viewers to a realm where celestial beauty and human emotion intertwine in a symphony of vibrant colours and intricate craftsmanship. At the heart of the painting, Lord Krishna stands as the epitome of divine charm and elegance. His iconic visage is rendered with exquisite precision, from the twinkle in his eyes that reflects his playful nature to the enigmatic smile that speaks of his eternal wisdom. By Lord Krishna's side stands Satyabhama, her presence resonating with unwavering devotion and a sense of regal grace. Rukmini, another beloved consort of Lord Krishna, graces the painting with an aura of timeless elegance. The colour palette of the painting is a symphony of celestial tones, with deep blues, radiant golds, and lush greens coming together to create a visual feast for the senses. These colours evoke the opulence of the divine realm and also add depth and vibrancy to the characters, enhancing the emotional impact of the scene.

Mysore Painting

Mysore painting is an important form of classical South Indian painting style that originated in and around the town of Mysore in Karnataka encouraged and nurtured by the Mysore rulers. Painting in Karnataka has a long and illustrious history, tracing its origins back to the Ajanta times. Mysore paintings are known for their elegance, muted colours, and attention to detail. The themes for most of these paintings are Hindu gods and goddesses and scenes from Hindu Mythology.
