About Hemalatha B

Hemalatha B, a graphic designer by profession, embarked on her passion for traditional painting in 2010 under the guidance of Mysore Palace artist M. Ramanarsaiah Sir. Her projects reflect a deep commitment to preserving the authentic look and feel of Mysore art, avoiding conversions or shortcuts.
Hemalatha's craft includes the creation of Ganjifa cards, known for their portability, speed, and attractiveness. She remains dedicated to Mysore traditional paintings and their rich heritage.
Her preferred themes are those that convey meaningful messages, often inspired by mythological stories and moral lessons. Despite her graphic design background, she remains true to the art's authentic essence, avoiding shortcuts and marketing gimmicks.
For the future, Hemalatha intends to continue her artistic journey, exploring the bold and vibrant world of Tanjore painting. Her plans include creating knowledge-based game sets, such as a yoga Ganjifa set and traditional-themed sets, adding a touch of heritage to every piece.
