About the Artwork +
In this Madhubani painting, Ambika Devi illustrates an enchanting scene of Sita-Ram Swayamvar, where Lord Ram and Maa Sita stood at the center, their eyes locked in affectionate gazes. They held a garland of vibrant flowers, symbolizing their eternal bond and commitment. By their side, Lakshman stood beside Lord Ram, while Urmila stood beside Maa Sita, both offering their unwavering support and companionship. They embody the ideals of loyalty, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. Their presence in the painting emphasizes the significance of unity and harmony within a family and highlights the collective journey of love and devotion. The Sita-Ram Swayamvar signifies the sacred union of Lord Ram and Maa Sita, celebrated as an emblem of divine love, devotion, and harmony. Their exchange of affectionate glances reflects their deep emotional connection and the strength of their bond. The garland of flowers they hold symbolizes their mutual acceptance and the sacred vows they share as partners in life. This Madhubani painting serves as a timeless reminder of the triumph of righteousness, the power of unity, and the beauty of eternal love.
