About the Artwork +

In Suraj Kumar Sahu's masterpiece crafted from Sikki grass, a tranquil scene unfolds with Lord Buddha in profound meditation beneath the verdant canopy of a sprawling tree, set against the gentle backdrop of a meandering river. Each stroke of Sahu's skilled hand delicately captures the essence of serenity and enlightenment that permeates the tableau. As Lord Buddha sits in deep contemplation, his serene countenance radiates tranquility, his presence seeming to imbue the surrounding landscape with an ethereal calmness. The Sikki grass, meticulously fashioned, breathes life into the lush foliage of the tree, its slender stalks bending gracefully to mimic the intricate patterns of leaves rustling in the breeze. Along the river's edge, a
harmonious blend of flora and fauna thrives, their presence enhancing the idyllic setting. Vibrant blossoms bloom in a riot of colors, their sweet fragrance mingling with the earthy scent of the riverbank. Birds flit gracefully overhead, their melodious songs adding to the symphony of nature's orchestra. Sahu's artistry not only captures the physical beauty of the scene but also evokes a sense of spiritual tranquility, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the timeless wisdom of Lord Buddha's meditative presence amidst nature's bountiful embrace.
