Miniature painting, an exquisite Indian art form, originated from a striking fusion of ancient Indian styles and the Persian Safavid school, giving birth to the Mughal School. Characterized by gracious strokes and intricate detailing achieved with single-haired brushes, these paintings served as a primary mode of historical archiving under Mughal emperors like Akbar and Jahangir, capturing courtly scenes, wars, mythological tales, and more. The vibrancy of these works was created using natural colors derived from indigo, precious stones, shells, pearls, and real gold and silver, with details so fine they often require a magnifying glass to appreciate.
