Renowned Terracotta artist, Dinesh Molela masterfully carves the depiction of Darbaan-s(doorkeepers or guards) standing with their arms in a specific posture. Darbaans are often positioned at the entrances of temples, palaces, or other sacred and important spaces. In this context, they symbolize guardianship and protection. The posture with arms raised signifies alertness and vigilance, emphasizing their role in safeguarding the sanctity of the place. In certain religious rituals and ceremonies, Darbaan-s are invoked as a symbolic representation of security and protection. Their presence and raised arms are seen as a way of invoking their protective qualities during the ritual. Sometimes, artists choose certain poses and postures simply for artistic expression and aesthetic appeal without a specific symbolic meaning. In such cases, the raised arms could be an artistic choice to create a visually appealing composition.
Packaging & Installation:
For larger terracotta artworks, pieces are securely packaged and hand-delivered in parts. Installation is coordinated with the artist and includes final touch-ups like colouring and fixing. Visible joints are a natural feature of terracotta art. Installation charges in addition to the artwork may apply and our sales team will get in touch with you for the same.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.
