About the Artwork +
Jayesh Sharma captures a resplendent portrayal of Lord Krishna at the centre of his divine dance with the gopis. At the heart of this captivating composition stands Lord Krishna, the eternal flute player and embodiment of divine love. His enchanting dark complexion radiates with a celestial glow as he holds the flute, poised to create melodies that stir the hearts of all who behold him. On either side of Krishna are the gopis, the beloved companions of Vrindavan, adorned in a vibrant tapestry of colors. Their attire showcases a symphony of hues, yellow, blue, pink, and brown, reflecting their individuality and the diversity of their devotion. Away from Krishna, gopis create celestial music, with some playing drums and others strumming the veena. The harmonious melodies blend with the rhythm of Krishna's divine flute, creating an enchanting symphony that transcends the earthly realm. In the foreground, three peacocks grace the scene, their feathers painted in vivid, iridescent colors. One peacock stands with its magnificent plumage spread wide, symbolising the enchantment of divine love and beauty. The peacock, closely associated with Lord Krishna, adds to the sense of grace and splendor. The grass field, rendered with meticulous detail, sways gently in the breeze, creating an atmosphere of serenity and natural abundance. The lush background adds depth and richness to the composition, infusing the scene with opulence and spirituality. The artwork is a visual symphony that transcends time and space.
