Ramjatan Prajapati's black pottery plate is a captivating creation, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship deeply rooted in India's ancient traditions. Originating from Nizamabad in Azamgarh district, Uttar Pradesh, renowned for its rich heritage, this distinctive pottery piece boasts a unique touch with a white-painted fish adorning its surface.
Crafted using a specialized technique, the plate is formed from a blend of clay and powdered glass, creating a distinctive sheen. The traditional firing process, employing leaves, sawdust, and rice husk, imparts the characteristic black hue to the pottery. Alongside its utilitarian purpose, this art form carries cultural significance, echoing the traditional craft practices passed down through generations in Nizamabad.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.
