Shrinathji, a seven-year-old manifestation of Shri Krishna is the principal deity venerated in Nathdwara. His worship involves numerous daily and annual forms (swarups). The painting’s central focus, enshrined within a niche, depicts Shrinathji with a raised left arm, representing the Govardhan Leela, his lifting of Mount Govardhan to protect the villagers from Indra’s wrath. He is adorned with traditional jewelry – necklaces of precious and semi-precious stones, armbands, and anklets – and a lotus garland, symbolizing purity. Besides him on either side are a paan beeda (betel leaf offering box) and a prasad dabbi (food offering box), integral to Shrinathji’s worship. The ornate, arched floral border guides the viewer’s attention to Shrinathji.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.
