Ashok Kumar, Tikuli round artist characterizes Maa Durga's Face possessing three eyes overall the frame. The three eyes of Maa Durga are rich in symbolism representing her abilities to percieve the past, present and future, signifying her all encompassing nature as a cosmic force. The third eye is often associated with inner wisdom and spiritual insight, symbolizimg Maa Durga's power to overcome darkness and evil. The three eyes can be seen as representing different levels of awareness, the two physical ones represent ordinary vision, while the third eye represents the spiritual insight and enlightenment. In serene practices, the awakening of the third eye is associated with reaching higjer states of conciousness.
