With a sparkle in his eye, Damodar Fateh Singh embodies the long standing tradition of Patachitra painting and its travel from temples to towns. After training in the military and for his family business, Damodar found his passion for art and the vibrant intricacies of the famed Patachitra paintings of Odisha. Damodar trained in his village in Chandanpuri, Odisha, under the tutelage of his guru, acclaimed temple artist Shri Saraschandra Sai. As every mythological tale unfolds, Damodar Fateh Singh, his wife, his brother, and sister-in-law paint their magic, keeping the centuries old stories of their beliefs alive through their stunning artform!
