Raja Ravi Varma’s oleograph portrays Lord Vishnu standing majestically in an interior palace setting, accompanied by his divine consorts, Shri Devi and Bhu Devi. Vishnu, depicted with multiple arms carrying his iconic attributes such as the conch (Shankha), discus (Chakra), mace (Gada), stands elevated on a pedestal. His divine presence is highlighted by his serene expression and regal attire, adorned with elaborate jewelry and a crown symbolizing his royal status.
Flanking Lord Vishnu on either side are his consorts, Shri Devi and Bhu Devi, holding a lotus in their hand, symbolizing purity and beauty. Both consorts are depicted with grace and elegance, their attire embellished with intricate patterns and jewelry that complement their divine roles as Goddesses of fortune and prosperity.
Raja Ravi Varma’s mastery in capturing the physical beauty and spiritual essence of the divine beings is evident in this oleograph. The composition not only celebrates the grandeur and majesty of Lord Vishnu but also highlights the significance of Shri Devi and Bhu Devi in Hindu mythology as embodiments of prosperity and earthly abundance. It serves as a visual reminder of the divine blessings and cosmic harmony that Vishnu and his consorts bestow upon the universe and inspires devotion and reverence among viewers.
This is a limited edition capsule collection of original oleographs/ chromo lithographs from the 1920's and 1930's created at the original Raja Ravi Verma Printing Press. This collection of paintings was originally made by Raja Ravi Verma and artists like CS Ramanujam. The oleographs are embellished with original delicate Japanese paper silk and Zari work in real gold and silver which was done by artists in the same period. These oleopgraphs were created in limited numbers and thus each artwork is limited to only 1 in availability with us. Varma used oleographs on paper, a type of lithography that uses oil paints on paper to make his work available to the masses. He eventually sold the press to one of the Germans. The stone-printing procedure allows exact brushstrokes and patterns to be replicated on a large scale with multitudes of tones and diverse colour palette. The artist signature is on each of the artworks and each artwork will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from MeMeraki.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.

Returns and Replacements
