The painting is rendered in the traditional pichwai style, a celebrated form of artwork originating from Rajasthan, with its roots deeply entrenched in the Nathdwara region. The term ‘pichwai’ refers to intricate paintings executed on cloth, which are traditionally hung on the back walls of temples. These beautifully detailed textiles serve a sacred purpose, created to adorn and worship Lord Shrinathji, a child incarnation of Lord Krishna depicted as a child.
