Sanjay Tandekar's traditional Tanjore painting of Ram Darbar exemplifies the timeless elegance and intricate craftsmanship of this revered art form. Tanjore paintings are known for their rich colors, detailed embellishments, and ornate gold leaf work, all of which are beautifully showcased in this masterpiece. Tandekar begins the process by meticulously preparing the canvas, which is typically made of wood and layered with cloth.
Next, he applies a paste made of chalk powder and a binding agent to create a smooth base for the painting. Using 24-carat gold foil, Tandekar meticulously embellishes specific areas of the painting, such as the halos surrounding the divine figures of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman, and Lord Hanuman. The shading and features of each character are carefully rendered to convey their divine presence, with intricate detailing in their attire, jewelry, and expressions. Through his skillful execution and adherence to tradition, Tandekar brings the epic tale of Ram Darbar to life in a mesmerizing Tanjore painting that captivates with its beauty and grace.

This artwork will be Made to Order and will take 1-2 weeks to be made and shipped.
