This stunning Kutch Appliqué artwork, crafted by the talented artisans of Kala Raksha, is a vibrant textile map of Gujarat, celebrating the rich culture and geography of the Kutch region. Appliqué is a traditional craft where smaller pieces of fabric are sewn onto a larger background, creating a textured and intricate visual narrative.
The artwork beautifully depicts key landmarks and natural wonders of Gujarat. On the left, the majestic Prag Mahal is represented, a prominent palace in Bhuj, complete with its clock tower. Below it, the Wild Ass Sanctuary comes to life, with its unique wildlife rendered in a lively, folk-art style.
The central part of the piece is dedicated to the region's spiritual and natural sites. The Mata no Madh temple and the Dholavira archaeological site are prominently featured, showcasing Gujarat's rich history and religious significance. The artwork also highlights the diverse landscape, with the Koteshwar temple, the mystical Narayan Sarovar, and the distinctive Bhujio Dungar (Bhuj Hill).
On the right side of the tapestry, the legendary White Rann is portrayed, with its vast salt flats and traditional settlements, along with depictions of the famous Black Hill (Kalo Dungar). Delivery Timeline
Ready To Ship/In Stock artworks are shipped in 3-4 days. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery. However, no returns can be accepted for international deliveries.
