This vertical Usta Miniature by Pankaj Kumar is a refined exploration of the Bikaner's Usta school’s floral vocabulary, featuring several multi-petaled blossoms set against a radiant gold background. The composition is housed within a matching gold-painted Rosewood frame shaped as a Mehrab, the iconic pointed arch of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.
The central focus is a graceful flowering plant that grows vertically, featuring stylized pink blossoms that resemble lilies. The flowers are rendered with a delicate color gradient, transitioning from a soft white at the base of the petals to a deep, vibrant pink at the tips.
