ONLINE AIPAN ART WORKSHOP BY MINAKSHI

This workshop is now over, you can buy recordings.

Drawing footprints of Goddess Lakshmi, also known as Shripadas, is the first and foremost ritual of Diwali. While drawing the feet, they are placed pointing going inwards to our homes. These footprints symbolize coming in wealth and prosperity.

We all have grown up watching our mothers draw these footprints during auspicious occasions. This Diwali, draw the auspicious Goddess Lakshmi’s footprints by yourself. MeMeraki brings you Aipan art workshop, where well-renowned Aipan artist Minakshi ji will guide you to create Lakshmi padchina. This workshop will be a blend of our tradition and our traditional Indian art form.

You will start by painting the wooden chowki red which is traditionally done using ochre color, followed by intricately designing it with Lakshmi Padchinha  in white colour.

This workshop was done in 1 class and thus 1 recording would be provided

This was a two hour class for beginners and was conducted over Zoom  - adults or children above 8 years can join.

Minakshi will guide you on how to create the basic drawing and the other intricacies of Aipan art. We will be painting the 'Lakshmi Chowki' in this workshop
