About the Artwork +

Eminent artist Sameep Vishwakarma in his Bastar Iron Craft impeccably forms a Jodan Diya with floral patterns formed by diamond shapes, each segment featuring human and animal figures. The floral motifs formed by diamond shapes represent elements of nature, such as flowers and plants. This design reflects the close connection between the tribal communities and their natural surroundings, emphasizing their harmony with the environment. The inclusion of human and animal figures within the floral motifs suggests a spiritual connection. These figures represent deities, spirits, or totems that hold significance in the tribal community's religious beliefs. They serve as protectors or intermediaries between the human and spiritual realms.
