This is a stunning example of Tholu lamps, inspired by a traditional Indian shadow puppetry art form, and applied to a set of corn-shaped fairy lights. Created by artist Kanday Anjanappa, these lights feature intricate, hand-painted designs that capture the essence of Andhra Pradesh's rich Tholu art heritage. Each lampshade on the fairy lights is meticulously decorated with vibrant colors and traditional motifs, making these lights not only a source of illumination but also a cultural statement piece. The designs vary across each lampshade, showcasing a mix of floral, geometric, and animal patterns. Peacocks, a recurring motif in Indian art symbolizing beauty and grace, are prominently featured, detailed with elaborate feathers and fine line work. Geometric patterns, often found in Indian folk art, provide a structured contrast to the organic forms, while floral patterns add a touch of nature’s elegance to the design. The vibrant color palette of blues, pinks, greens, and yellows adds to the warmth and allure of these lights, making them suitable for ambient lighting. No, we currently sell artworks unframed (unless explicitly mentioned otherwise) and do not provide framing services.
We ship worldwide. All artworks are handmade and couriered securely in transit safe packaging sutaible for the artwork.
