Dolon Kundu made this Terracotta model depicting Lord Krishna holding the Govardhan Hill and protecting the residents of Braj. The terracotta model of Krishna holding the Govardhan Hill symbolizes the divine protection, power, and compassion of Lord Krishna. According to Hindu mythology, when the residents of Braj were threatened by torrential rains and floods, Krishna lifted the Govardhan Hill on his little finger to provide them shelter and safety. This act represents Krishna's love for his devotees, his ability to overcome challenges, and his divine intervention to protect and nurture those who seek his refuge. The terracotta material adds warmth and earthiness, enhancing the sacredness and connection to the natural world. The details in Krishna's attire, the serene expression on his face, and the depiction of the Govardhan Hill evoke a sense of awe and reverence.
Packaging & Installation:
For larger terracotta artworks, pieces are securely packaged and hand-delivered in parts. Installation is coordinated with the artist and includes final touch-ups like colouring and fixing. Visible joints are a natural feature of terracotta art. Installation charges in addition to the artwork may apply and our sales team will get in touch with you for the same.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.
