In his brilliant composition, master artist Kailash Pradhan captures the profound concept of 'Chaurasi Yoni', the 8.4 million forms of life that a soul can inhabit during the cycle of rebirth. Gond art, rooted in Central India, is a tribute to nature, where the Gond tribes express their deep reverence through intricate geometric patterns of lines, dots, and dashes.
Pradhan’s painting is a marvelous depiction of this cosmic journey. A swirl of flora and fauna, painted in shades of green, blue, and peach, are effortlessly balanced and united. The composition teems with life, from the twenty lakh types of trees and plants to the nine lakh aquatic species, eleven lakh insects, ten lakh bird species, thirty lakh land animals, and the four lakh species of monkeys, apes, and gorillas that precede human birth.
Weaving together the Hindu mythological cycle of rebirth, Pradhan creates a stunning representation using his signature patterns, including Cher Cheran, Parsa Paan, and Khaddar, all inspired by nature.
