This vibrant Gond painting by Kailash Pradhan features a turtle seated at the base of a vibrant, swaying tree. The portrayal of the turtle with its form decorated in intricate geometrical patterns and vibrant colors creates a sense of depth and movement.
The tree's branches cluster into dense foliage, depicted in rich yellow and green hues. Each element in the composition is meticulously detailed, with a harmonious use of dots and lines to create intricate patterns and textures- a hallmark of the Gond tradition. This painting showcases two of Kailash Pradhan's signature styles, the unique Parsa Paan pattern which resembles betel leaves, which are offered as a symbol of respect at significant events like weddings and social gatherings, and are also used in traditional medicine for digestion and respiratory issues amidst the Gond tribe; and the Khaddar pattern, inspired by the fibres of Khadi cotton cloth.
The artist’s choice of subject reflects the Gond people’s reverence of nature and their deep-seated belief in the interconnectedness of living beings. The use of vivid colors and intricate patterns not only enhances the visual appeal but also deepens the symbolic meanings embedded within the artwork.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.

No, we currently sell artworks unframed (unless explicitly mentioned otherwise) and do not provide framing services.
We ship worldwide. All artworks are handmade and couriered securely in transit safe packaging sutaible for the artwork.

Returns and Replacements

Delivery Timeline
This artwork will be Made to Order and will take 1-2 weeks to be made and shipped.
