In this composition, the tree serves as both a sanctuary and a source of life, its sprawling structure providing a safe haven for several smaller birds that appear to be resting and growing within its very essence. This reflects the core Gond philosophy that the environment is an active, living guardian that sustains and protects all life forms.
The tree is anchored by a thick, curving trunk that is meticulously rendered with a dense, stippled fill-pattern, representing the Sarson ke daane (mustard seeds) pattern. At the heart of the tree sits a large, vibrant orange-red fruit or egg, symbolizing the seed of life and the potential for new beginnings. From this central core, branches reach outward in a spiral motion, each cradling a small bird with a bright red head and a watchful, crescent-moon eye.
