Bengal pattachitra painting artist Manoranjan Chitrakar designs a plate showing Maa Durga with her several hands, slaying a demon with her Trishul known as Trident highlighting the concept of feminine power, Durga is often referred to as the Divine Mother. The goddess's multiple arms each holding different weapon, symbolize her supreme power and ability to protect her devotees from various harms. The weapons alongside demonstrate her different attributes and powers, as trishul represents her control over three aspects of time-past, present, and future. Eventually, the demon that Durga is slaying is typically Mahishasura, his defeat by Durga signifies the triumph of good over evil and goddess's role as a protector.
Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.
