The intricately carved wooden blocks, made from Sheesham and Sangwan wood, are traditional tools used in Kalamkari textile printing. The larger block, shaped like an elaborate arch, features detailed floral jaali patterns, while the smaller paisley (mango-shaped) block showcases dense, ornamental motifs common in Indian textiles. Crafted with extraordinary precision, these blocks were completed over a span of four months, reflecting the artisan's deep skill and patience. Used for hand-printing natural-dye fabrics, they represent the heritage of Kalamkari art from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
These artworks are exclusive national award winning pieces and are available for view and purchase for the very first time for NCR residents at ‘Kaarigar Sangam at the Kunj’ and are exclusively available for patrons outside Delhi through MeMeraki. These are being sold at no commission and are inclusive of GST , however shipping and packaging will be charged separately. Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.
