Transport yourself to the world of Dolon Kundu, one of the few female pinch potters in India, bringing a contemporary vision to Bengal's renowned terracotta tradition through her unique pinched pottery, a technique involving shaping clay by pinching, coiling, and rolling before firing; in this set of three circular terracotta plaques, she presents Goddess Shakti, not through paint, but through the tactile imprints of her fingers, showcasing her mastery in creating a three-dimensional representation of the goddess amidst a floral surround. At the center of each plaque, Goddess Shakti's face is rendered with a serene expression, her eyes gently closed, emphasizing her feminine grace and tranquility, the unglazed clay adding a raw, earthy quality to her visage. Surrounding her is a profusion of stylized flowers, including larger blossoms and smaller rose-like forms, creating a natural halo with varying depths and textures, suggesting a vibrant, living environment. The unglazed terracotta surface invites touch, highlighting the tactile nature of pinch pottery, with subtle variations in tone and texture revealing the artist's hand, the circular plaques, each with perforations, suggesting they are meant to be hung, enhancing their sculptural presence. Returns and Replacements
We offer replacements or repairs if your artwork arrives damaged or has a quality issue. As each artwork is handcrafted, we do not accept returns or refunds for orders received in the expected condition.
Delivery Timeline
Ready To Ship/In Stock artworks are shipped in 3-4 days. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery. However, no returns can be accepted for international deliveries.
