Om Prakash has made this wooden carved art piece of Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha. Shiva is in the Natraj form. As Natraj, Shiva represents the apocalypse and creation as he dances away the illusory world of Maya transforming it into power and enlightenment. In juxtaposition, Lord Ganesha is carved as Nritya Ganpati or Dancing Ganesh- one of the 32 forms of Ganesha. In this form, Ganesha is a musician and blesses devotees with skill and efficiency in music, dance and arts. The artist has painted a paradox as Lord Ganesha with his gentle eyes and swaying trunk is in the Natraj form performing the Tandav dance which is associated with an angry dance.
