This artwork has been painted by a Kumari Priyanka, who has been practising the Godna tradition since her childhood. Godna painting, inspired by the tribal tattooing tradition, is a vibrant folk art practiced by communities in Northern and Central India. Historically, Godna involved inserting ink into the skin to create intricate designs symbolising nature, mythology, and daily life. Over time, this art transitioned to paper and canvas, using handmade paper, fabric colours, and brush nibs. Godna paintings often feature motifs from epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata, as well as tribal legends. Made in a period of four days, this particular artwork pays homage to Birsa Munda, a respected tribal leader and freedom fighter from the Munda community, revered as a god in Jharkhand.
These artworks are exclusive national award winning pieces and are available for view and purchase for the very first time for NCR residents at ‘Kaarigar Sangam at the Kunj’ and are exclusively available for patrons outside Delhi through MeMeraki. These are being sold at no commission and are inclusive of GST , however shipping and packaging will be charged separately. Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.

No, we currently sell artworks unframed (unless explicitly mentioned otherwise) and do not provide framing services.
We ship worldwide. All artworks are handmade and couriered securely in transit safe packaging sutaible for the artwork.

Returns and Replacements

Delivery Timeline
This artwork will be Made to Order and will take 3 weeks to be made and shipped.
Once your order is placed, our team stays in constant communication with the artist to track the progress and ensure the quality of your order. You will receive regular updates from us throughout this process.
