Gond painting—originating from the Gond tribal community of Madhya Pradesh—is renowned for its intricate line work and repetitive patterning, particularly the use of lines, dots, and textured fills that animate the surface. Here, the composition is dominated by three imposing felines rendered in a restrained palette of monochromatic greys and whites, set in striking contrast against a vivid, uniform blue background. Their bodies are meticulously filled with lahrdaar (wave-like) stripes—derived from lahr (waves) and lahrdaar (choppy waves)—along with bindus (dots), imparting a sense of movement, depth, and surface rhythm. The faces are minimally detailed, featuring large expressive eyes and subtle accents of red at the mouth and tongue.

Returns and Replacements

Delivery Timeline
Ready To Ship/In Stock artworks are shipped in 3-4 days. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery. However, no returns can be accepted for international deliveries.
