This is a serene and exquisite composition in Pichwai by Shehzaad Ali Sherani, highlighting a lotus pond, kamal talai, of pink lotuses. The lotus (kamal) is a sacred motif symbolizing purity, spiritual awakening, and the divine presence of Lord Shrinathji.
Pichwai painting is a devotional textile art tradition from Nathdwara, Rajasthan, created to be hung behind the murti of Shrinathji, a form of Krishna worshipped at the Nathdwara temple. Traditionally rendered in natural pigments, gold, and silver leaf on cloth, Pichwai paintings depict the deity across the seasons and festivals of the Pushtimarg devotional calendar, combining fine detail with a scale meant to fill and frame the sanctum itself.
The pink and green-hued flowers and buds rise on curling green vines, interwoven with broad lotus leaves edged in green. The composition is organised independently with a contrast of light and dark colours, giving the painting a sense of calm. Fine detailing along the leaves and stems adds richness to the composition.
Set against a dark blue backdrop. the painting carries a quiet devotional mood. The repeated floral forms suggest abundance, harmony, and continuity, qualities closely associated with sacred space in Pichwai traditions.

Returns and Replacements
We offer replacements or repairs if your artwork arrives damaged or has a quality issue. As each artwork is handcrafted, we do not accept returns or refunds for orders received in the expected condition.
Delivery Timeline
Ready To Ship/In Stock artworks are shipped in 3-4 days. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery. However, no returns can be accepted for international deliveries.
Once your order is placed, our team stays in constant communication with the artist to track the progress and ensure the quality of your order. You will receive regular updates from us throughout this process.
All MeMeraki artworks are hand-painted. In rare occasions, artist may face delays due to weather, health, prior commitments or force majeure. Our team will reach out to you with revised timelines in case of such delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience in such situations.
