This impressive sandalwood sculpture by Kapil Jangid, showcases an extraordinary level of detail and craftsmanship. The piece features a Saraswati Venna, adorned with intricate carvings from base to top.
At the pinnacle of the piece, there is a beautifully carved presence of goddess Saraswati, exuding a sense of divinity and grace. Below the deity, the vertical shaft of the sculpture is embellished with symmetrical floral and geometric patterns, adding depth and complexity to the design. Protruding horizontally from the central shaft are three elaborately detailed shelves, each depicting scenes of traditional Indian architecture and cultural motifs. The scenes include miniature buildings, human figures, and animals, all carved with remarkable precision. Each shelf is further decorated with hanging elements that resemble traditional lanterns, adding a dynamic and festive touch to the piece. The base of the sculpture features a round pedestal with ornate detailing, providing a solid foundation for the towering structure. Above the pedestal, there is a circular carving housing a small, detailed scene, framed by intricate patterns. Flanking this central scene are two elegantly carved peacocks, their feathers and posture adding a touch of elegance and balance to the overall composition.
