About the Artwork +
This Madhubani painting by artist Priti Karn depicts one of the most heroic feats from the Ramayana: Hanuman carrying the Dronagiri Mountain to retrieve the life-saving Sanjivani herb. Hanuman is shown in a dynamic, striding pose, soaring over a landscape of rolling hills and a lotus-filled river. He carries the entire mountain in his palm, rendered as a perfectly symmetrical green and yellow pyramid filled with individual medicinal plants that represent the abundance of the sacred forest.
The central figure is rendered with a vibrant orange complexion and traditional Mithila features, including a large, watchful almond-shaped eye and a sharp profile. Hanuman’s attire is a showcase of the Bharni (color-filling) style, featuring a heavily patterned indigo and yellow dhoti with fine Kachni line-work and a flowing yellow cape decorated with floral rosettes. He is adorned with an intricate crown, heavy necklaces, and anklets, while his signature long tail curls gracefully behind him to balance the composition.
The lower portion of the painting depicts a serene landscape where a river flows with blooming red lotuses and small, swimming fish. The riverbanks are lined with dense, stylized foliage and flowering vines that frame Hanuman’s powerful stride. The entire scene is enclosed within a structured triple border, consisting of an inner wavy black line, a middle band of small red and white triangles, and a solid black outer frame. This complex framing focuses the viewer's attention on the physical and spiritual strength of Hanuman’s mission.

Each of our artworks are hand painted by master artists across India. We provide a digital authentication certificate with this artwork signed by the artist which will be sent over email after 3-4 days of delivery of the artwork.

We ship worldwide.
Domestic Orders
All prices are inclusive of GST and applicable Indian taxes.
- We offer free shipping on orders above ₹1999 for all artworks, except Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri.
- A flat shipping rate of ₹499 applies to orders below ₹1999.
Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri
Shipping is charged on a per-kilogram basis, due to the delicate and bulky nature of these items.
International Orders
- A flat shipping charge of ₹4,000 applies to international artwork orders.
- Customs duties, taxes, or import charges in the buyer’s country are not included and must be borne by the buyer.
- Shipping rates for Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri artworks will be calculated based on weight.
Additonal Shipping Charges
Extra charges may be applicable for both domestic and international deliveries in the following cases:
- If the article requires additional packaging (such as a wooden crate) to ensure safe shipping due to its delicate nature.
- Custom-framed artworks.
- Artworks where shorter side exceeds 36 inches or Decor items with any side over 35 inches.
- If you request express shipping. Contact support to check availability.
- The order contains more than two different product types.

Delivery Timelines and Returns +
All artworks are handmade and couriered securely packed in a tube.
Due to high demand for artworks from this artist, the delivery timelines are currently 0-2 weeks.
