The one who always wins
The crack of dawn.
A lonely running track.
Not a leaf moving,
Not a bird singing.
The world is still sleeping.
But Vijeta is up and running.
She sprints through the track,
Like a shooting star in the sky.
She hits the track before everyone,
Beating even the first rays of the sun.
Her parents had named her Vijeta,
It means ‘the one who always wins.’
She ran race after race in school and college.
True to her name, she never came second.
She’s now the fastest sprinter in the country.
Now she has her eyes on an Olympic medal.
She knows her opponents are strong,
But none of them can intimidate her anymore,
She has just conquered the strongest of them all.
It started as a slight pain in her breast.
First, she thought her body was just sore,
From the strenuous practice all day long.
But it wouldn’t go away as usual,
She knew it wasn’t an ordinary sore.
So she stood in front of the mirror.
Looking for any changes in her breast.
She found a change in the colour and texture,
And also a dimple on her right breast.
She hadn’t anticipated such a challenge,
It threw her off her track for a while.
But Vijeta didn’t like to lose.
She knew she had many things to do,
Losing to cancer wasn’t one of them.
So she got up and ran a good race,
To get rid of that dimple on her breast.
True to her name, Vijeta won the battle against cancer.
She’s glad that she didn’t ignore,
Even the slightest signal of her body.
As an athlete, Vijeta knows,
A healthy body is her biggest asset.

Delivery Timeline
This artwork will be Made to Order and will take 3 weeks to be made and shipped.
Once your order is placed, our team stays in constant communication with the artist to track the progress and ensure the quality of your order. You will receive regular updates from us throughout this process.
