About the Artwork +
This Sanjhi artwork by Ashutosh Verma is a luminous example of the traditional Braj paper-cutting art, showcasing a sacred narrative through the delicate interplay of negative space and gold-on-green pigments. The Sanjhi technique requires immense patience and precision, as each leaf and figure is meticulously hand-cut to form a cohesive, layered composition from a single surface. The color palette is particularly striking, featuring a rich forest-green paper background that provides a natural, earthy contrast to the brilliant gold-toned paper used for the deity and the landscape. This choice of colors evokes the lush environment of Vrindavan while imbuing the piece with a regal, divine radiance that makes the central figures appear as if they are glowing from within.
At the base of the composition, Lord Krishna is seen sitting on a massive Kadamba tree, his flute held to his lips as he plays a divine melody. Above him, the tree's canopy expands into a vast, perfectly circular crown filled with thousands of individually rendered leaves that create a shimmering, textured effect across the top half of the frame. To the right of the trunk, a group of three cows stands in rapt attention, their forms overlapping as they look toward the divine music in a display of peaceful devotion. Tiny birds and stylized floral motifs are scattered throughout the surrounding space and within the foliage, adding a sense of movement and life to the otherwise serene and symmetrical scene. This magnificent work by Ashutosh Verma beautifully harmonizes the fragility of paper with the eternal strength of devotion, capturing the peaceful soul of the Krishna Leela within a shimmering golden forest.

No, we currently sell artworks unframed (unless explicitly mentioned otherwise) and do not provide framing services.

We ship worldwide.
Domestic Orders
All prices are inclusive of GST and applicable Indian taxes.
- We offer free shipping on orders above ₹1999 for all artworks, except Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri.
- A flat shipping rate of ₹499 applies to orders below ₹1999.
Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri
Shipping is charged on a per-kilogram basis, due to the delicate and bulky nature of these items.
International Orders
- A flat shipping charge of ₹4,000 applies to international artwork orders.
- Customs duties, taxes, or import charges in the buyer’s country are not included and must be borne by the buyer.
- Shipping rates for Lippan, Terracotta and Thikri artworks will be calculated based on weight.
Additonal Shipping Charges
Extra charges may be applicable for both domestic and international deliveries in the following cases:
- If the article requires additional packaging (such as a wooden crate) to ensure safe shipping due to its delicate nature.
- Custom-framed artworks.
- Artworks where shorter side exceeds 36 inches or Decor items with any side over 35 inches.
- If you request express shipping. Contact support to check availability.
- The order contains more than two different product types.

Delivery Timelines and Returns +
All artworks are handmade and couriered securely packed in a tube.
Due to high demand for artworks from this artist, the delivery timelines are currently 0-2 weeks.
