About
A unique and one-of-a-kind art form, coming to you from the vibrant city of Udaipuar, Rajasthan: Seafoam (Dried Samudari Jhaag) Art, invented by National Awardee, Harsh Chhajed. Sea foam is composed of magnesium carbonate and calcium and is formed when saltwater is agitated, especially when it includes significant amounts of dissolved organic matter. It features a tough exterior and softer interiors. An interesting fact: The insides of sea froth were used for cleaning windows of heritage buildings and palaces! Harsh Chhajed started his art journey at the age of 13, carving on small bits and pieces of sea foam that he managed to find. A self-taught artist whose unique work is getting him a lot of acclaim and clientele with his artworks reaching imminent personalities like Lata Mangeshkar!
