This unique Gond painting by Gareeba Singh Tekam offers a mesmerizing look into the agricultural traditions of the tribe. The artwork centers on a traditional tool for manual harvesting known as Khaliyaan, which is a powerful symbol of their reliance on the land. In keeping with the core tenets of Gond art, the piece is a vibrant narrative told through Tekam's signature pattern, Trishul, with a deep reverence for nature. Trishul, meaning "trident", the sacred weapon of Lord Shiva and the powerful feminine force of Shakti, is depicted through three consecutive lines, forming its distinct blades, thereby imbuing his work with profound spiritual and cultural meaning.
The painting meticulously depicts the Khaliyaan, which is a manual machine used to prepare land for cultivation. A central, prominent wooden stick is shown at the heart of the composition, from which various colorful, textured ropes extend outward. The prompt clarifies that these ropes are used to attach the tool to cows, which circle to make the ground plain. The artist brings this tool to life with a rich palette of greens, browns, blues, and reds, each segment filled with a unique pattern of fine lines and dots, a signature characteristic of the Gond art form.

Returns and Replacements
We offer replacements or repairs if your artwork arrives damaged or has a quality issue. As each artwork is handcrafted, we do not accept returns or refunds for orders received in the expected condition.
Delivery Timeline
Ready To Ship/In Stock artworks are shipped in 3-4 days. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery. However, no returns can be accepted for international deliveries.
Once your order is placed, our team stays in constant communication with the artist to track the progress and ensure the quality of your order. You will receive regular updates from us throughout this process.
All MeMeraki artworks are hand-painted. In rare occasions, artist may face delays due to weather, health, prior commitments or force majeure. Our team will reach out to you with revised timelines in case of such delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience in such situations.
