In this workshop we will be creating goddess Lakshmi seated in her abode Manidvipa. She sits upon Padma, whose petals grow out of mud untouched by the dirt. Which symbolizes transcending from material world through divinity. She also holds lotus flowers in her hand symbolizing, fertility, purity and beauty. Her four hands in cardinal direction are representative of the four goals of life - kama, artha, dharma and moksha. She sits upon the Padma, beautifully adorned in bright red saree representing wealth and prosperity, as she smiles blissfully upon her devotees
Dr. J Dundaraja, a traditional Mysore painting artist will guide you with the process and techniques during the workshop.
This will be a two hour class for beginners conducted every Tuesday and Friday for eight days and will be conducted over Zoom - adults or children above 12 years can join.
Mysore paintings are created with real gold foil (22k Gold).
