About the Artwork +

Arup Malakar has beautifully sculpted the idol of Ganesha in this Sholapith Art. Ganesha is rhe elephant-headed deity who is the patron of Arts & Literature and is worshipped as the Remover of Obstalcles before any new enterprise. Ganesha sits in lalitasana as he has a blissful smile on his face alluding to his state of Sat-Chit anand. His four hands represent his omnipresence in all spheres to remove the obstacles on the path of his devotees who worship him to attain material and spiritual well-being.

For all artworks expect Lippan and Terracotta, No additional charges are applicable for domestic deliveries. For International Orders shipping charges of 2000 INR are applicable.

Shipping and Returns +

All artworks are packed and couriered securely in a tube.

Ready To Ship/ In Stock artworks are shipped in under 2 weeks. We only accept return requests for Ready to Ship/ In stock artworks placed within a week from date of delivery.

Made To Order artworks will take 2-3 weeks to be made and shipped once they are ready. Returns are not applicable on Made To Order artworks.

Sholapith


Sholapith or Shola Pith (also referred to as Indian cork) is a dried milky-white spongy plant matter, which can be pressed and shaped into delicate and beautiful objects of art.  Traditionally Sholapith products were used in decorating Hindu idols and in creating the crowns of brides and grooms in a traditional Bengali Weddings of India.
