Sea Foam Art is a unique and one-of-a-kind art form originating from Udaipur, Rajasthan, invented by National Awardee Harsh Chhajed. This art utilizes dried sea foam, composed of magnesium carbonate and calcium, which forms when saltwater is agitated and contains dissolved organic matter. Known for its tough exterior and softer interiors, sea foam's insides were historically used for cleaning windows of heritage buildings and palaces. Harsh Chhajed, a self-taught artist, began his journey at age 13, carving on small pieces of sea foam, and has since gained significant acclaim, with his artworks reaching eminent personalities like Lata Mangeshkar.
