This framed koftgiri composition by Shyamalata Gahlot presents a pair of ceremonial dagger paired with a round shield, displayed within an arched niche-like setting, its darkened metal surface richly inlaid with silver floral and vegetal scrollwork.
The dagger's curved blade, tapering elegantly to its point, is richly overlaid with silver inlay hammered into engraved channels. At the centre, the raised roundel with four bosses evokes a shield or ceremonial medallion, reinforcing the martial lineage of Koftgiri, historically applied to arms and armour.
Set against a deep vermillion background and enclosed within an ornate frame, the objects are transformed from instruments of defence into emblems of status, protection, and masterful metalwork.
